Terms & Conditions For Massage Services at Our San Antonio Spa
Massage Therapy Scheduled Appointments
While we do accommodate walk-in clients whenever possible, scheduling in advance is highly recommended if you have a preferred time/date or therapist for a partial or full body massage. Any massage therapy service can be reserved online or by phone. After the appointment has been successfully scheduled you will receive a confirmation by e-mail or by telephone.
Check-In Procedures
We want to ensure that you experience deep relaxation and stress reduction any time you visit Ruen Spa. That is why we ask guests to check-in at least 10 minutes before their appointment. This allows for time to complete the intake form, discuss your medical history with the massage therapist, and go over your goals for the massage treatment.
Late Arrivals
Guests who are late to a scheduled appointment will be able to use any time that is remaining. Typically, our massage therapists are unable to extend the time due to tight scheduling. Full payment for the service is required regardless of the time used.
Cancellations
Cancellations and rescheduling can be done more than 24 hours prior to a scheduled appointment. There will be no cancellation fee, however, a processing fee may need to be paid. Appointments that are cancelled or changed with less than 24 hour notice will be subjected to a 50% cancellation fee. In the event a client is a no show the full price of the service will be charged.
Etiquette Expectations at Ruen Spa
We ask that guests refrain from using their mobile phones and electric devices within the spa to ensure ultimate relaxation for all clients. This also ensures privacy for our clients.
Inappropriate Behavior
Ruen Thai Massage & Spa has a Zero Tolerance Policy in regards to inappropriate behavior. This includes touching, sexual innuendo and/or lewd requests. If a client engages in inappropriate behavior in a massage room or the reception area, the session will be terminated immediately without refund.
During a couples massage guests are expected to behave in a respectful manner and refrain from engaging in any form of sexual activity.
Attire For Traditional Thai Massage
Traditional Thai massage isn't like Swedish massage and other conventional massage techniques that many people are familiar with. Thai massage is focused on restoring energy flow, ease muscle tension, and stress relief through assisted stretching and movement using yoga like positions and rocking techniques. You will need to be fully clothed in comfortable attire that allows for movement.
Health Considerations For Body Massage Services
If you are scheduled for any type of massage service from deep tissue massage to hot stone massage, you will need to keep Ruen Spa informed of any special health considerations. Please inform our experienced therapists or the receptionist if you have high blood pressure, a heart condition, a skin condition, are pregnant, or currently have another known medical condition.
Based on your medical concerns our skilled therapists may need to create a customized treatment plan.
Clients Who Feel Ill
We ask any guest who is feeling ill contact our spa to reschedule their appointment. This helps protect the healthy environment of our spa as well as your health. Because massage assists with lymphatic drainage and blood flow it is possible to accelerate an infection at the onset and prolong the illness or cause a relapse.
Lost or Stolen Valuables
Ruen Thai Massage & Spa is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. We advise guests leave valuables at home and to not wear jewelry to their appointment.
Payment Methods
All major credit cards and cash are accepted. A credit card is required to reserve an appointment.
Gift Card Policies
Gift cards are available for purchase for any value amount and redeemed for massage services. Ruen Thai Massage & Spa gift cards are non-refundable and can't be redeemed for cash. Gift cards can be transferred. Our establishment is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged gift cards.
Refund Policy
All sales of gift cards or merchandise are final.
